Text Messaging Consent
How individuals opt in to receive SMS communications from EmergDoc.
Program and Sender
EmergDoc sends optional SMS communications from EmergDoc for service-related follow-up, patient review requests, scheduling or administrative updates, and direct responses to inquiries.
How Consent Is Collected
Consent is collected only when an individual provides a mobile phone number to EmergDoc and affirmatively agrees to receive text messages. Consent may be collected in person, by phone, by written or electronic intake, or through direct communication with EmergDoc.
Call-to-Action Language
When requesting SMS consent, EmergDoc uses the following disclosure:
By providing your mobile phone number and agreeing to receive text messages from EmergDoc, you consent to receive recurring SMS messages from EmergDoc related to service follow-up, review requests, scheduling or administrative updates, and responses to your inquiries. Example Verbal Consent Script
If consent is collected verbally, the EmergDoc representative may say: "EmergDoc can send you occasional text messages related to service follow-up, review requests, scheduling or administrative updates, and responses to your inquiries. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Do you agree to receive text messages from EmergDoc at this mobile number?"
Opt-In Confirmation Message
After opt-in, an individual may receive a confirmation message such as: "EmergDoc: You are opted in to receive recurring service-related SMS messages. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
Sample Messages
Example follow-up message: "EmergDoc: Thank you for allowing us to be part of your care. If you would like to share feedback, please visit [review link]. Reply STOP to opt out."
Example administrative message: "EmergDoc: This is a follow-up regarding your recent inquiry. Please contact us at (702) 582-8765 if you have questions. Reply STOP to opt out."
